Cooking Directions

  • In a pot with water set to medium high heat dissolve, House Foods Oden Soup Mix.
  • While the soup heats up, cut toppings into bite size pieces.
  • Add toppings to soup and reduce heat to low and let soup simmer.
  • Add sake, soy sauce and mirin to taste.
  • Once toppings have cooked completely remove from heat and serve oden soup with House Foods Neri Karashi on the side.

Soup:

  • 1 pkg. House Foods Oden Soup Mix
  • 1 liter (about 4 cups) water

Oden toppings of your choice (suggestions):

  • 4 inch Japanese radish
  • 4 boiled eggs
  • 1/3 block konjac
  • 4 Kinchaku (mochi balls)
  • 1 sheet hanpen, cut into squares
  • 6 beef skewers

Optional:

  • House Foods Neri Karashi, to taste
  • Mirin (sweet sake), to taste
  • Soy sauce, to taste
